With 180 million users and $2 billion in revenue, Canva is one of the most well-known SaaS companies - and likely the most intuitive graphic editor. Here’s how it acquires customers.
Wonderful analysis of their funnel. And you‘re right, the ABM approach helps so many businesses as well as consumers to find value. I use it for 8 years and love this proud Aussie invention 🇦🇺
Awesome collaborative article! There is so much information in here - this one goes right into my saved articles for future reference on sales funnels. Well done Irene 👋 and Andreas.
Great breakdown here Andreas! I never realised that Canva was doing so many promotions across all those social platforms. I use it a lot, and you make a great point about getting comfortable with the tool at a young age and then continuing to use it.
A few weeks ago, I was thinking of cancelling Canva because I hadn't been using it and it prompted me to continue for $6.50 a month for 3 months extra. Of course, I stayed and am using it now. Nice breakdown man! Keep up the great work.
What I like the most about Canva is their highly targeted landing page: per keywords. They dont just tell you they have video editing template or birthday template, they show it with special landing page filled with keywords and product features they targeting. Super masterclass in building high converting landing page, thanks for this comprehensive breakdown, great job!
This is a killer breakdown. Totally agree: Canva’s growth isn’t just about getting users, it’s about segmenting and nurturing them the right way. One thing that stood out to me is how Canva trains users to rely on it. The freemium model it’s about habit building. By making design part of daily workflows, they’re shaping behavior. That kind of stickiness is next-level. Appreciate the insights!
Hey Martin, appreciate it! Thank you. I agree—not many companies do what Canva does in terms of habit-building. Of course, not every tool can, but those things are what make Canva so successful.

Appreciate it, Gunnar! Yes - Canva is such a great example of how simple a tool can be and how effective marketing accelerates growth.
Just to be clear: Andreas Just is real with amazing content - but "Andreas Just Growth" is not, just an amateurish scammer who got reported by many.
Canva is amazing to use and it is by far one of my favorite tools. Even for free, you can get a lot out of it.
Agree Bette, it’s such an easy and great tool and it helps a lot for not so creative people like me when it comes to design 😃

I am so happy to hear that you find this insightful Jens!
Thanks for the appreciation Jens
Thank you, Jens! I really appreciate it. I hope you can take something useful from this.
Cool

Indeed! Canva is doing an amazing job here. They probably tested a lot until they templatized it and rolled it out for each use case! Thanks Wyndo 🙏🏼
