Well analysed and described! I use Slack since 2016 and love it a lot across my company and as well other workspaces.

Thank you Gunnar! It's a game changer. Slack has made so many things easier, I can very well understand why you've been using it since 2016!

Love this man! The growth loop works the same with Loom. I think that’s how the PLG companies work! And I think more companies need to think deeper about the activation metrics to upgrade users to pro plan rather than blocking them with free trial.

I agree - having clarity on your activation metrics is key, but figuring them out is a lot of work and trial and error. I understand why not many make the effort. 😃

Thanks, Andreas, great post, as always!!

I had no idea Slack came from an online gaming community—so cool.

Loved the part about activation metrics. It’s so important but often overlooked.

It might be interesting to dive deeper into how to set better activation metrics. I think a lot of people (myself included!) would find that super helpful.

Thank you, Irene! :)

I read about it once but forgot about it until this article - haha, it's a cool story.

I've made a note of it! Thanks for the idea, I'll do a breakdown on activation metrics in one of the next newsletters.
