Conversational ads that reduce friction and answer buyer questions in context could meaningfully change how intent is captured, if OpenAI keeps relevance and trust high

Yep I agree... Curious to see how this will develop. And how other AI platforms are following.

The shift toward conversational ads really collapses the distance between a question and a purchase. It's exactly why we're so focused on the integrity of the traffic entering these systems, as authentic interactions are the only way to preserve that high-intent ROI. If OpenAI keeps the ecosystem clean and the interactions genuine, this could easily outperform traditional search.

Agree! Super curious how this will turn out. Can’t wait to play around with it as I see it as a real gamechanger

I am honestly not very optimistic about ChatGPT. First of all looking at the timing, ChatGPT has reportedly found in code red and having drop in users growth, launching ads is definitely showing how desperate they are. And then when you look at how many users have already shifted from ChatGPT to Gemini and Claude, this is even more worrying. Now having said that, Ads in LLMs is not new, Google has been doing that in a minimal beta and advertisers should all be prepared for that.

It’s not so much about ChatGPT itself, but how ChatGPT is using this kind of advertising. I think this will become the blueprint for other AI tools on how to integrate ads. Of course, it’s a move made out of necessity, but the way they’re placing ads within the customer journey is very smart... far better than the typical ad platforms we have today

So now, instead of having the power to click and load only the ads I want to see, ChatGPT will load the ads and take up computer resources and memory doing so making my browsing experience sluggish and forcing me to see ads I do not want to see.

All this ad loading and automation does nothing but suck up computer resources and slow down my browsing experience.

If you have an older computer and browser, your effed.

Unfortunately, that’s the case with any other media or technology that’s evolving. If you want to keep up with the latest state, you have to adapt your tech stack. Unfortunately, there will always be people who upgrade and companies tend to care less about that.
